Teaching

The ultimate reward for me is to share my knowledge, skills and passion with others.  Teaching has brought me wonderful experiences and so many heart warming rewards.  To see the growth of students who have little experience develop their own style, creating their own art and winning awards is extremely satisfying.

In addition to teaching traditional embroidery techniques, I include a wide variety of techniques and theories.  Some of these are the elements and principles of design which I cover in detail over 10 months, the emotions of stitch, dyeing for backgrounds, fabric manipulation, and paper making to name a few.  I teach in my studio on a regular basis both group and private classes, and guild and seminar workshops.
